IWC Health & Safety
Ian Williams Carpentry has an excellent reputation for maintaining a consistently high standard of health & safety across all its projects.
We work in close collaboration with South Wales Safety Consultancy Ltd ensuring that the highest standards of safety are monitored and maintained on all projects through regular on site safety inspections.
The Company’s Managing Director has direct responsibility for the implementation of the company health & safety procedures. A comprehensive policy document is generated for each contract undertaken ensuring that each project will be delivered to the highest standard of safety. This ensures we provide and maintain a safe and secure environment for our employees and any individuals who may be affected by our activities.
With our emphasis on health & safety, all Directors have successfully completed IOSH training. At supervisory level our Managers are trained to NVQ Level 4 Management. Site Supervisors have completed both the Construction Skills Site Supervisory course and are also trained to NVQ Level 3 Occupational Health and Safety. Our workforce is complemented with certificated Fire Wardens and First Aid appointed personnel.
We have a 100% compliant CSCS registered workforce. Ian Williams Carpentry invests in a rolling programme of 15 apprentices all recruited through the Construction Skills Scheme.
We ensure all our workforce is trained to undertake all tasks required. We have a comprehensive training plan in house and work closely with Construction Skills on an annual plan for all employees and operatives. We have a qualified CPCS workforce which is the largest and most highly recognised card scheme for the plant industry.
